The effort to connect the bay of Naples to the Bay Area of San Francisco, initiated by Unite the Two Bays in 2013, made a further leap forward toward full implementation last May when a number of endeavors launched last year came to fruition. First it was the donation to the San Francisco Academy of Art University of the costumes and the artifacts that were brought from Naples for the exhibition Treasures from Naples’ Teatro di San Carlo. Donated on April 26, 2014 with a quiet ceremony at SFAAU’s Post Street location the costumes, and the rare jewelry, were put immediately to good use, as the photos following can attest.
